On Sunday at 8:30pm Surrey RCMP were called to the scene 6800 block of 151 street in relation to a report of shots being fired. 

Police say there are no injuries. 

Via release, Mounties say that one vehicle, described as a silver SUV, was chasing another, described as a newer model black sedan.

It is currently suspected that shots originated from the occupants of the black sedan. Shortly after the initial shots call, Surrey RCMP received a complaint of a vehicle fire in the 17100 block of 83rd avenue.

The vehicle was determined to be a silver SUV and is believed to be associated to the shots fired call.

The investigation is still in its early stages.

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the area of 68 avenue between 152 and 151 streets at the time of the incident is asked to contact Surrey RCMP.

Surrey RCMP received the report of shots fired at a taxi in a parking lot in the 14800 block of 108 Avenue. Police attended the scene and found both occupants of the vehicle shot. The passenger, a 30-year-old male died, and the driver of the taxi was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
