SURREY, B.C. - A man is in hospital with serious injuries following a shooting in Surrey, B.C.
RCMP were called to the 92nd Avenue and King George Boulevard area in the neighbourhood of Whalley just after 10 p.m. Thursday for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found the injured victim.
He was taken to hospital in serious condition.
Police are investigating a possible motive.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
According to police, a witness called 9-1-1 around 9:45 p.m. to report a man had been attacked near Renfrew and Graveley streets. The 37-year-old victim was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries. No arrests have been made and a suspect has not been located.
Indian-origin MP Chandra Arya marked Canada's first Hindu Heritage Month beginning frorm November to acknowledge and celebrate contributions made by Hindus to make the country strong and prosperous. Via release, police say they found a 25-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital where he is in stable condition. According to Mounties, initial indications are that this is an isolated incident and involves parties known to each other.
