Shooting In Surrey Sends Man To Hospital

Darpan News Desk, 04 Apr, 2016 05:53 PM
In a third consecutive incident Surrey today saw another shooting in a brazen daylight that put a man in hospital.

RCMP officers blocked off areas of 86A Avenue and 140th Street due to the shootout that is termed the 31st shooting incident of the year. Police reportedly do not have a suspect yet but do believe the attack was targeted.

Officers found a victim suffering non-life threatening injuries and a dark-coloured BMW that appeared to have had two windows shot out at the scene.

Investigators believe most of the shootings are tied to an ongoing drug-related conflict between two new groups.

Today’s shooting is followed two others committed over the weekend.

Anyone with information is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or if they wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
