A 21-year-old man faces numerous charges following a shooting and robbery attempt in Surrey earlier this month.
Police say they were called on January 7th when a person was assaulted during a robbery and a single shot was discharged into the air.
R-C-M-P say the prosecution service has approved seven weapons charges, including robbery with a firearm and careless use of a firearm.

Mike Farnworth, minister of public safety and solicitor general, says all members of the Surrey Police Board have been suspended and he's appointed former Abbotsford chief constable Mike Serr to take over all their duties. Farnworth says he acted because of a “lack of progress” from the City of Surrey in the transition to the Surrey Police Service.
