Series of robberies in Richmond

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 04 Nov, 2024 05:21 PM
  • Series of robberies in Richmond

Police in the Metro Vancouver community of Richmond have issued a public warning after a series of robberies that took place near a school.

R-C-M-P say four of the six robberies happened between October 14th and November 1st, and all but one occurred at night.

They say each case involved victims trying to sell items through an online marketplace and arranging to meet prospective buyers near the school on Williams Road, where the thieves would then take the item without paying.

The Mounties say several victims reported being threatened with a weapon and in one case a victim reported being physically assaulted.
