KELOWNA, B.C. — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they say is responsible for eight bank robberies over eight weeks across B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Each of the robberies involved a weapon or the threat of a weapon but no employees or customers were physically injured.
RCMP say the same man has robbed financial institutions in Princeton, Vernon, Merritt and Langley in B.C., in Lethbridge, Claresholm and High River in Alberta, and in Swift Current, Sask.
Police have released a variety of pictures of the man going into various banks dressed in black and wearing dark glasses and either a hoodie or a toque.
He's described as Caucasian, between 25 and 35 years old and between 5 feet 6 inches to six feet tall.
Police say the man was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash and escaped on foot.
