Serena Vermeersch, Missing Teen, Found Dead in Surrey. Police Search For A Male Suspect

    SURREY, B.C. - RCMP are asking for the public's help in finding a man who may have been involved in the murder of a 17-year-old girl in Surrey, B.C.

    Serena Vermeersch's body was found Wednesday night, about an hour after the man in dark clothing was seen walking across the railroad tracks.

    Police say he left in a grey or silver Dodge pickup truck with a canopy and roof rack and did a U-turn as he left the area close to where the girl's body was discovered by search and rescue crews.

    Vermeersch was last seen boarding a bus at about 8 p.m. on Monday, and Mounties are calling on anyone who may have seen her getting on or off the bus.

    Her mother called police early Tuesday morning when she did not come home.
