Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 07 Jan, 2016 11:22 AM
TERRACE, B.C. — RCMP in Terrace B.C., are recommending charges after wrapping up separate investigations into fatalities around that northwestern B.C. city.

Charges of criminal negligence causing death, careless storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm are recommended against a 47-year-old Terrace man.

A 15-year-old boy was in a private home in Terrace on Feb. 9, 2015 when he suffered a gunshot wound and died a short time later in hospital.

In an unrelated case, Crown Counsel is now considering a Terrace RCMP recommendation of manslaughter and obstruction of justice charges related to the death of 25-year-old Troy Mason.

The victim was found dead in his home at Gitaus, a Kitselas First Nation subdivision, 20 kilometres northeast of Terrace, on Dec. 21, 2011.

According to police, the obstruction charge has been recommended against a 22-year-old man while a 26-year-old man could face the manslaughter charge.
