Richmond R-C-M-P are investigating after a 67-year-old woman was assaulted by two suspects.

Police say her home was also ransacked in last month's attack.

They say the woman sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Mounties say they do not believe it was a random incident.

British Columbia (BC) Prosecution spokesperson Dan McLaughlin told Global News that the case didn't meet the standard for charge assessment according to the Crown.
