Mounties in North Vancouver are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect after a senior was assaulted in a local park last month. 

R-C-M-P say officers arrived at a playground in North Vancouver on July 27th at 6:30 p.m. when the victim was assaulted after trying to enter the playground to throw away his dog’s waste.

Nearby witnesses intervened to stop the assault and the senior was taken to hospital for his injuries. 

Police say they are releasing the footage of the incident, which was caught on C-C-T-V, with hopes that the suspect will come forward

Police on Vancouver Island are investigating a two-vehicle highway crash that killed one person over the weekend. Nanaimo RCMP say witnesses told police they saw the driver of a car cross the median on the Nanaimo Parkway and hit an SUV head on.
