SEE PICS: Sandhu Family’s Unite Against Cancer Gala Helps Raise Over $231,000 To Improve Cancer Care

Darpan News Desk, 19 Dec, 2019 07:08 PM

For a second year, the Sandhu family’s dedication to changing the outcome for families across B.C. facing cancer will help propel the latest in cancer treatment.

The 2019 Unite Against Cancer Gala, organized and hosted by the Sandhu family’s Ray of Hope Charitable Society, raised over $231,000 for the BC Cancer Foundation. The 2nd annual event took place at the Grand Taj Banquet Hall in Surrey.

Thanks to a generous matching gift offer from mining community leaders this incredible grand total of over $231,000 will help fund an urgently needed piece of equipment at BC Cancer that will help save more lives in B.C.

One in two British Columbians will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, and support from events like the Unite Against Cancer Gala help accelerate breakthrough cancer research and improve cancer care across our province.

Ray of Hope Charitable Society’s Presidents Davinder and Amarjit Sandhu and the BC Cancer Foundation would like to thank all of the donors, sponsors, volunteers and guests who helped make the event possible.

A special thank you to Star Sponsors Jagtar Singh Uppal from Uppal Building Supplies Ltd. and Gurdev Singh Sandhu of Northwest Development Ltd. for their generous hand in helping the event take place.
