Second Attempted Child Abduction In Vancouver's Stanley Park, Police Arrest Man

    Vancouver police have arrested in connection with the attempted abductions of two young girls.
     
    Sgt. Randy Fincham says in a release that a two-year-old girl was grabbed by a man in Stanley Park's Lost Lagoon area around 2 p.m. on Monday.
     
    The girl's father confronted the man, who let go of the girl and ran off.
     
     
    Park rangers and the police searched for the suspect and he was arrested on Alberni Street.
     
    The 28-year-old man of no fixed address is believed to also be responsible for the attempted abduction of an eight-year-old girl on the sea wall north of Denman Street on Friday.
     
     
    The man is in police custody pending further investigation.
