Surrey RCMP is informing the public of ongoing enforcement action targeting drug trafficking in the City Centre area.
On August 30, 2022, Surrey RCMP Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a convenience store located in the 10200-block of City Parkway. Investigation lead the police to believe that the business was being used to facilitate drug trafficking in the area.
A search warrant was executed at the business, where police seized:
- 203 grams of bulk and street level pre-packaged fentanyl
- 38 grams of methamphetamine
- 17 grams of cocaine
- 300 hydromorphone pills
- 278 grams of Marijuana and approximately $150,000 cash
The bulk fentanyl alone represents over 2,000 potentially fatal doses taken off our streets,
says Surrey RCMP Media Relations officer, Cst Sarbjit K. Sangha. We will be keeping a close eye on this location, which has been a hot spot for drug dealing and violence.
Police will be recommending charges against at least 4 individuals for trafficking and possession for the purposes of trafficking an illicit substance.
