Search To Resume For 65-year-old Hiker On Vancouver's North Shore Mountains

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 30 Sep, 2016 12:43 PM
VANCOUVER — An air and ground search Thursday found no trace of a hiker missing on the mountains of Vancouver's North Shore but rescuers expected to be back on the trails Friday morning, looking for any clues.

Police in West Vancouver, B.C., say 65-year-old Debbie Blair became separated from her hiking group around midday, Thursday.

She was last seen near Donut Rock Trail junction on the Cypress Mountain trail leading toward Eagle bluffs.

Searchers are concerned because temperatures hovered not far above freezing early Friday morning.

They say Blair was not prepared to spend the night outdoors and did not have a coat.
