SASKATOON — The Saskatchewan Party plans to introduce funding for autism spectrum disorder if the party is re-elected April 4.
Party leader and Premier Brad Wall says parents would be allowed to decide how best to use the financial support.
Speaking in Saskatoon, Wall said funding would start at $4,000 annually in 2017.
The eventual goal would be to provide $15,000 to $18,000 annually for children under six and $4,800 each year for school-age children under 18.
Wall said a working group would be formed to review autism funding in other provinces.
