Robbery at a BC liquor store

Prince George R-C-M-P say a man has been taken into custody after robbing a liquor store.

R-C-M-P say officers received two reports about a man who seemed to be carrying a firearm showed up on Weisbrod Road close to the Hart Highway and the second report came in suggesting the man robbed a nearby liquor store.

The man ran into a local convenience store as officers responded to the scene, and an officer who was equipped with a conducted energy weapon stopped the suspect from running away.

Mounties say he will remain in custody until he can go to court.

2 assaulted in a Surrey park

Mounties are looking for witnesses after an assault of two men in a Surrey park that left one with life-threatening injuries. They say officers responded on Sunday around 12:40 A-M to a report of a disturbance and arrived to find two victims.
