  • Ridge Meadows RCMP asking hit and run driver to turn themselves in

The Ridge Meadows R-C-M-P is asking the driver of a 2000s white Toyota hatchback to turn themselves in after being involved in a hit and run last month.

Police say the vehicle hit a pedestrian on January 26th in Maple Ridge.

The pedestrian suffered a broken leg.

Police say they're also still seeking witnesses, dash camera footage and/or surveillance video of what happened.

Surrey RCMP say a man who was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants is in custody. Police said last week they were looking for the 24-year-old, who was allegedly seen in September driving dangerously through Surrey's streets at peak traffic hours.
