UPDATE: Richmond RCMP is pleased to confirm that the 33 year-old female reported missing on July 5th has been located, and she is safe and sound. Thanks to the media and public for your assistance.

EARLIER STORY: 

Richmond RCMP is requesting the public's assistance in locating 33 year-old Danielle Mahal, a Richmond area woman, who was last seen walking away from a treatment facility in the 10100 block of No. 2 Road on July 3rd

Mahal has been known to disappear for a few hours at a time in the past.  However, concern is now growing, as it is unusual for her to be out of touch with family members for this long a time. 

Danielle Mahal is described as:

  • A South Asian female;
  • 33 years old;
  • 5 ft 8 inches tall;
  • 145 lbs;
  • With long dark hair; and
  • Two distinctive tattoos: one being a “heart” tattoo on her right hand and the other a “live, love, laugh” tattoo on her right torso.

Mahal was last seen wearing a light coloured long sleeve top, light coloured shorts, white Nike shoes, white ankle socks, and carrying a black cross-body bag.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Danielle Mahal is urged to contact the Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212, and quote file number 2022-17538.

Karanveer Sahota, a Grade 10 student at McNally High School, was waiting for a bus on the afternoon of April 8 when he was assaulted at around 2:44pm.  According to Edmonton police, Sahota and the 7 accused were known to each other.
