UPDATE: 

The 25-year-old who was reported missing on August 17, 2023 has been located. Richmond RCMP thanks the media and public for their assistance.

EARLIER STORY: 

The Richmond RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating Jennine “Jenny” Chand.  Jenny is a 25 year old man who identifies as a woman. Jenny is possibly in the West Vancouver / North Vancouver area.

Jenny is described as:

  • 25 years old
  • South Asian
  • 5’8”
  • 150 lbs
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes

The Richmond RCMP are concerned about Jenny’s well-being and urge anyone with information as to their whereabouts to contact them at 604-278-1212

The Village of Lytton and the Thompson-Nicola Regional District are suing Canadian National and Canadian Pacific railways and Transport Canada, alleging they were negligent to let trains pass through the town during the heat dome. The district says the claim was brought on its behalf by its insurer, the Municipal Insurance Association of B.C.
