On Tuesday, Jan 3,2022 shortly before 8:30 a.m., frontline Richmond RCMP officers responded to Richmond General Hospital for a report of a man suffering from injuries consistent with a shooting. The man was able to receive emergency medical assistance.
At this moment, this appears to be an isolated incident. The motive and conduct of this investigation is now with our Serious Crimes Unit.

Officers in the West End re-arrested the 44-year-old thief Monday night, after he allegedly stole more than $730 in cosmetics from a department store on Robson Street. At 9:20 a.m., a bystander located the vehicle abandoned with the baby still inside the vehicle in the 5900-block of 177B Street. The baby was checked over by BC Emergency Health Services and was not physically injured. The family involved has been provided support through victim services.
