Richmond RCMP are looking for rightful owner after more than 100 sport cards seized

Darpan News Desk Richmond RCMP, 17 Mar, 2021 10:49 PM
  • Richmond RCMP are looking for rightful owner after more than 100 sport cards seized

Investigators with the Richmond RCMP Mobile Enforcement Team are trying to locate the owner of a large collection of sports trading cards they recovered in January.

On January 17, 2021, police interacted with a male who they soon discovered was the subject of an outstanding warrant for property crime-related offences in Vancouver. Among the items seized by police upon his arrest was a binder containing more than 100 old sports cards. The cards include hockey, baseball and basketball trading cards, many of them dating back to the 1980’s.

Corporal Ian Henderson of the Richmond RCMP says, This collection is quite large and it appears to have been well kept. The exact value of the cards in the collection is not yet known, but I am certain that the rightful owner would like to have them back, says Henderson.

If you have any information that will help police find the rightful owner of this property, please contact the Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212
