Richmond, B.C. Man Arrested After Fire At Suspected Illegal Drug Lab

    Shortly before 2:30 p.m. on March 4, frontline Richmond RCMP officers responded to the 6900-block of Elmbridge Way to assist Richmond-Fire Rescue with a structure fire at a building complex.


    After the fire was extinguished, evidence surfaced that the origins may have been a clandestine drug laboratory.


    Police have arrested a 30-year-old man. He is from Richmond and is known to police.


    The Richmond RCMP Organized Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation with assistance from the BC RCMP Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response (CLEAR) Team.
