KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Search and rescue teams are scouring an area around Clearwater, B.C., searching for a snowmobiler who has been missing since Tuesday afternoon.
The RCMP helicopter and teams from Wells Gray, McBride and Kamloops are looking for the man believed to be in his forties.
Cpl. Mark LeBoissiere says the man was in the Finn Creek recreational area with a group of snowmobilers from Alberta but became separated from his companions.
LeBoissiere says the unnamed snowmobiler has some backcountry experience, and is well equipped with food and other supplies.
Temperatures have also been fairly mild, dropping to -9 overnight.
It now snowing in the search area but LeBoissiere hopes conditions will allow the aerial search to continue. (CHNL)
