RCMP Say Three Questioned After Latest Targeted Shooting In Surrey, B.C.

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 03 Jan, 2019 06:42 PM

SURREY, B.C. — Officers in Surrey, B.C., are investigating what appears to be the latest, targeted drive-by shooting.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Murray Hedderson says in a news release that shots were fired just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

No one was injured but the release says evidence at the scene confirms the incident.

Initial reports indicated a dark-coloured vehicle with a single, working headlight was spotted leaving Surrey's Bridgeview neighbourhood.

A similar vehicle was located a short time later and Hedderson says three people have been detained.

Police also want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or seen the dark SUV fleeing the area.
