SURREY, B.C. — RCMP are investigating after a man was shot to death in Surrey, B.C, overnight.
Mounties say multiple calls came in just before midnight reporting gunshots in the area of 72nd Ave. and King George Boulevard. They say a "lone male" was found at the scene, where he died of his injuries.
We responded to a fatal shooting last night in the 13900 block of 72nd Avenue. One male has died from his injuries. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken conduct of this investigation and will be working with us. Further details handled by @HomicideTeam pic.twitter.com/zMP9M2DX07

Police have not released any more details about the victim, or any suspect information.
They say they will update the media later this morning.

Police say officers with Surrey RCMP and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team are expected to be on the scene "for some time."
