RCMP Investigate Second Weekend Shooting In Surrey That Put Two More In Hospital

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 14 Jun, 2015 01:02 PM
SURREY, B.C. — Two men are injured and a hospital is on lock down following a second targeted shooting in as many nights in Surrey, B.C.

RCMP say they responded to reports of gunfire between two vehicles (in the 18600 block of Highway 10) around 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Bullets struck two nearby homes but no one inside was hurt.

Mounties say a regional hospital informed them soon afterwards that two men had turned up at the medical facility with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.

Two men were taken to hospital the night before following another targeted shooting (near 57 Avenue and 152 Street), also in Surrey.

Police would not say whether the gunfire over the weekend is linked to the 17 other shootings identified as a low-level drug trade turf war.
