RCMP In Alberta Cancel Amber Alert; Three Children Found Safe In Calgary

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 24 Dec, 2015 05:03 PM
FORT SASKATCHEWAN, Alta. — Police say three children who were the subject of an Amber Alert in Alberta have been found safe.

RCMP Insp. Gibson Glavin says the children and their mother were found together in Calgary shortly after the alert was issued.

"Everybody's safe and sound. The Amber Alert is cancelled," Glavin said Thursday.

The alert had been issued just before noon for the three-year-old, 12-year-old and 14-year-old.

RCMP alleged the kids were abducted by their mother from a home in Fort Saskatchewan, northeast of Edmonton, in the middle of the night.

They were said to be without winter clothing or necessities.

The mother and children were last seen getting out of a taxi at a Tim Hortons in Calgary.
