VANCOUVER — RCMP in British Columbia say they have arrested a passenger from a United Airlines flight that was diverted to Vancouver on Saturday.

Mounties say United Airlines flight 1104, bound for Denver from Anchorage, Alaska, landed in Vancouver due to a security concern.

RCMP haven't released details on the nature of the security concern, but say the plane landed safely.

Police have not given additional information on the person arrested and whether there will be charges.

United Airlines says there was a crew of six and 131 passengers on board and it is working to rebook its customers on an alternate flight.

Operations at Vancouver's airport were not affected.
