  • Purse snatcher on the loose: VPD

Vancouver police are looking for a purse snatcher believed to be responsible for a number of robberies and attempted robberies of women throughout the city.

Officers say in one case in March the man used a large knife to cut a woman's purse strap and fled with the purse after a brief struggle.

Police say video from a building security camera shows what the suspect was wearing and what he looked like at the time of the March 15 offence.

He is described as 25 to 35 years old, with a medium build, dark hair, a dark moustache and beard wearing a Nike sweat suit, black and a Toronto Raptors ball cap
