Public Not At Risk After Targeted Slaying Of 47 Year Old Man In Kelowna: RCMP

    KELOWNA, B.C. — RCMP in Kelowna, B.C., say they are investigating a targeted slaying.
     
    Mounties issued a news release saying they were called to a home in the Rutland area, northeast of Kelowna, at about 12:40 Tuesday morning.
     
    A 47-year-old man was found dead in the house.
     
    His name is not being released while family members are notified.
     
    Investigators have released few details of the incident and have not said how the victim died or why they believe he was targeted.
     
    They say they are confident there is no danger to the public. (CKIZ)
