Prince George Man Fights Off Group Of Masked Home Invaders

The Canadian Press, 03 Feb, 2015 12:49 PM
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Mounties say they've recovered an axe from a Prince George, B.C., home after a group of people wearing masks broke in and assaulted a resident.

Police say the man fought off the attackers and injured at least two of them — a man and a woman — who were arrested and sent to hospital.

RCMP believe six people entered the home and that the axe was used during the confrontation.

Mounties say the remaining suspects stole a truck and rifle before escaping.

The vehicle was later found in an alley and police are still looking for four people.

Cpl. Craig Douglass says investigators believe it was a targeted attack and there's no risk to the public.
