Premier Christy Clark Thanks Veterans, Families, For Their Sacrifice

    VANCOUVER — Premier Christy Clark marks Remembrance Day in her Okanagan riding.
     
    She is participating in a ceremony at Royal Lepage Place in West Kelowna, B.C.
     
    In a release from the premier's office, Clark thanked all those, from conflicts past and current, who have answered this country's call.
     
    Clark also thanked the families who lost loved ones or support soldiers who have returned from war.
     
    In other events, several thousand people are expected to turn out for a parade of veterans and a ceremony at Vancouver's cenotaph in the downtown core.
     
    And tens of thousands crowded around the National War Memorial in Ottawa for a service led by Governor General David Johnston.
