Police warn of powerful drug stolen from Vancouver pharmacy during armed robbery

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 24 Dec, 2014 11:11 AM

VANCOUVER — Police are warning the public about a potentially lethal drug that has been stolen from a Vancouver pharmacy.

Officers say two people armed with guns took a variety of prescription drugs from a store Tuesday.

Police say among the stolen pharmaceuticals, they are most concerned about a small quantity of fentanyl patches.

Officers describe fentanyl as an "unforgiving drug" that is much more powerful than heroin and can be lethal, even in small doses.

Anyone with information about the robbery is being asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
