Police Warn Of Online Discounted Canada's Wonderland Ticket Scam

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 13 Jul, 2016 02:17 PM
  • Police Warn Of Online Discounted Canada's Wonderland Ticket Scam
MONO, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police are warning about fraudulent Canada's Wonderland tickets for sale on the Internet.

They say the fake discounted tickets for the Vaughan, Ont., attraction have surfaced on the website redgroupdeals.com.

Investigators say Canada's Wonderland has confirmed tickets purchased from Red Group Deals are not valid.

Police say in one instance a couple bought tickets from the site to take their grandchildren to Canada's Wonderland, only to discover the passes were worthless.

And they say the price on the site was quoted in Canadian dollars, but funds were deducted from their credit card in American funds.

A disclaimer on the park's official website states that "The Red Deals" and "The Group Deals" websites are not authorized Canada's Wonderland ticket sellers.
