Police Searching For Information After Nanaimo, B.C., Pony Found Wounded By Arrow

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 25 Oct, 2015 01:19 PM
NANAIMO, B.C. — Nanaimo police say a Welsh pony on a family acerage has been found with an arrow wound in its chest.

Joy Rudd says she went to feed her three-and-a-half year-old horse, Bliss, around 7 a.m. Saturday and found the animal in its paddock, making strange noises.

Rudd says the animal was obviously in considerable pain and suffering from shock.

She contacted her vet, conservation officers and the RCMP, who all confirmed that the injury appears to have been caused by an arrow.

Bliss is expected to survive, but may suffer infections from the wound.

Nanaimo RCMP are looking to speak with anyone with information about the incident.
