Police Search For 3 Suspects After Sawed-Off Shotgun Fired In BC Liquor Store

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 12 Jan, 2015 01:18 PM
NANAIMO, B.C. — Police in Nanaimo, B.C., are searching for three men suspected of firing a sawed-off shotgun into the ceiling of a liquor store and discharging bear spray at an employee.

RCMP say the men attempted to rob the store and may have stolen several bottles of wine as they escaped.

Mounties and a dog team arrived within minutes but believe the trio left the area in a waiting vehicle.

Police say the employee who was bear sprayed did not need medical attention but all the workers were left shaken by the ordeal.

There were no customers in the store when the three men wearing hoodies burst in on Saturday morning.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
