Police Say Woman Whose Alleged Abduction Was Caught On Video Is Safe

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 26 Aug, 2018 05:09 PM
RICHMOND HILL, Ont. — Police north of Toronto say a woman whose alleged abduction was caught on video has been found "in good health."

York regional police have also identified a suspect they say is still at large, and is considered armed and dangerous.

The incident began early Thursday, when the 28-year-old woman knocked on the door of a home in the town of Richmond Hill, Ont.

Police say the door wasn't answered, but a man emerged from a car parked on the street in front of the house, had an altercation with the woman and dragged her back to the vehicle by her hair.

They say the man appeared to be armed and could be heard on the video threatening to kill the woman.

Police are asking for anyone who spots 27-year-old Jonathan McLennan of Toronto to call 911.
