Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 24 Jul, 2015 12:53 PM
TORONTO — Organizers for the Pan Am Games say they believe an athlete involved in a sexual assault investigation has left Toronto.

Toronto police say the investigation involves a member of the Brazilian water polo team.

Saad Rafi, CEO of the Pan Am organizing committee, says he doesn't know the athlete's identity but presumes the person has left because water polo competitions ended on July 15.

Police say they will release information about the investigation at a news conference scheduled for 1 p.m. ET at police headquarters.
