SURREY, B.C. — RCMP say they have made an arrest after receiving reports that a three-year-old boy was struck in the face and abandoned at a bus stop in Surrey, B.C.
Police say they were contacted about the incident Saturday morning by witnesses.
Callers to reported the boy was struck in the face and pushed by a man who then got on a bus, leaving the boy behind.
Police say the boy was cared for by people who were there.
RCMP say witnesses posted a photo of the boy on social media in an attempt to identify him.
Police were able to identify the boy and he has been returned to his mother.
RCMP say an arrest has been made in connection with the incident.
No names have been released.
