Police Say 28-Year-Old Passenger Shot In Highly Populated Williams Lake Area

The Canadian Press, 08 Jun, 2015 05:04 PM
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Police are asking for the public's help in finding whoever is responsible for shooting a passenger in a vehicle in Williams Lake, B.C.

RCMP Cpl. Jason Pole says Mounties received multiple reports of shots being fired in a residential area at about 11 p.m. on Saturday.

He says responding officers saw two vehicles speeding away but only managed to stop one.

Pole says a 28-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds was found inside that vehicle, and that he's in critical condition.

He says police suspect that someone inside the other vehicle fired the shots.

Pole adds it's a blessing that no one in the highly populated area was hit by a stray bullet.
