Police Respond To 'Disturbance', Surround Apartment Building In Downtown Vancouver

    At around 4 a.m. this morning, the VPD were called to a disturbance at an apartment building on Hornby Street near Drake Street. A man fled from the officers as they arrived on scene, allegedly leaving a firearm behind.

     

    Officers were able to track the man to a residence on Beach Avenue near Hornby Street. VPD negotiators, emergency response team, and other first responders are at the location making attempts to arrest the man.

     
     

    Officers have secured the location where the male suspect is believed to be and are currently seeking a warrant to enter and make the arrest. There is no risk to the general public.
