Police Officer Tells Calgary Murder Trial He Found Diabetic Teen Already Dead

The Canadian Press, 01 Jun, 2016 01:18 PM
CALGARY — The first police officer to arrive at the family home of a diabetic teenager in Calgary says the boy looked like a skeleton.

Const. Larry Pugliese is testifying at the first-degree murder trial of Emil and Rodica Radita.

Their son, Alex, was found dead by first responders in May 2013.

Court has heard that the 15-year-old weighed just 37 pounds at the time of his death.

Pugliese says the boy was lying on a bed with his shirt off when the officer arrived.

He says Alex's ribs were clearly visible, he had sores on his body and it was clear that he was dead.
