Police Looking For Indo-Canadian Man For SkyTrain Sexual Assault

Darpan News Desk , 07 Nov, 2015 01:42 PM
Metro Vancouver Transit Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a sexual assault on the SkyTrain.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at 9:20 pm, a woman boarded a westbound SkyTrain at Broadway and Commercial Station and sat in a window seat. She felt something touching her breast and looked down to see the hand of a man seated behind her, fondling her.

She immediately stood up and confronted the man who denied anything and moved to the doorway of the train.

As the train arrived at Stadium Station, the woman grabbed the man’s hand and pulled him off the train onto the platform. He broke free and was last seen running out of the station onto Pacific Boulevard.

The suspect is described as an Indo Canadian male, in his 20’s, 5’8” tall, thin build, medium length curly black hair, wearing a red t-shirt with white letters, plaid shorts and sandals (photo attached).

As the investigation into this incident has produced no leads, Transit Police are appealing to the public for their assistance. If you have any information concerning the identity of this man, please call Transit Police at 604-515-8300 or Text 87 77 77.
