Police Investigating Death Of 33-Year-Old Pitt Meadows Man Found In Parked Car

    MAPLE RIDGE, B.C. — Additional information is being released about a fatal incident that drew a heavy police presence to Maple Ridge over the weekend.
     
    Police say a 33-year-old man from Pitt Meadows was found dead in a vehicle early Saturday morning.
     
    They say the victim is not known to police and that the killing has no known connection to any other criminal acts.
     
    The area around Lougheed Highway and 216 St. was closed off around 4 a.m., with a tarp covering a vehicle in a nearby parking lot.
     
    The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is asking anyone with any information to come forward.
     
    Police say few further details will be released in order to safeguard the investigation.
