Police Investigate After Trailer Full Of Beer Worth $155,000 Stolen In Delta

The Canadian Press, 29 Jan, 2018 12:12 PM
DELTA, B.C. — Police in Delta, B.C., are investigating the theft of a trailer full of nearly 2,600 cases of Coors Light beer.

The Delta Police Department says in a release that surveillance footage shows a red semi-truck entering a lot before someone hooks up the trailer just before noon on Jan. 20.

Police spokeswoman Cris Leykauf says based on the company's GPS tracking system, the trailer arrived at an address in Richmond about half an hour later.

She says the trailer was discovered empty the next day and the theft was then reported to police.

Leykauf says it's definitely an unusual theft and anyone who may be aware of some odd circumstances around the sale of beer should contact police.

The alcohol is valued at about $155,000.
