DELTA, B.C. — Police in Delta, B.C. have released the name of a 24-year-old man who was killed on Friday in what was believed to have been a targeted shooting.
 
Arundeep Cheema of nearby Surrey was shot while seated in his vehicle in the driveway of the North Delta home he was visiting.
 
Police say Cheema is known to them, adding the investigation continues and no suspect information will be released at this point.
 
Acting Sgt. Sarah Swallow of the Delta Police Department earlier said the victim was visiting friends or associates at the house when he was shot.
 
Swallow said police visited the house for various incidents over the years. 
 
The department's major crimes unit and forensic investigators are handling the case and are seeking information from anyone who was in the area at the time.
