Police identify victims of double homicide at home in rural Prince Edward Island

Darpan News Desk Canadian Press, 22 Aug, 2014 10:20 AM
Police have identified a father and his son who were found dead Wednesday evening in a home in rural Prince Edward Island.

The RCMP say they found the bodies of 68-year-old Herbert Brent McGuigan and 39-year-old Brendon Patrick McGuigan, both of St. Mary's Road near Montague, at the home.

Investigators say they responded to a call at the home at about 9:15 p.m., but have declined to provide further details about the case including how the men died.

Police say autopsies are being conducted.

Alfred Guy Vuozzo (View'-zoh) of the Montague area has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

The 46-year-old man was brought before a justice of the peace in Georgetown provincial court on Thursday evening after being arrested earlier in the day without incident.

He has been remanded into custody until a court appearance scheduled for next week.
