Police Identify Victim In Fatal Surrey Shooting As 30-Yr-Old Bikramjit Khakh

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 04 Feb, 2019 05:34 PM

SURREY, B.C. — Police in Surrey, B.C., are investigating the shooting of a 30-year-old man, who they believe was targeted.

They say emergency services found Bikramjit Khakh dead with gunshot wounds at a residence on Friday at 7:20 p.m.

They say a white, four-door car was seen leaving the area following the shooting.

About 10 minutes later police say they were alerted to a burning vehicle about three kilometres away.

Cpl. Frank Jang of IHIT says the burned car is believed to be the Mercedes. Police believe the incidents are related.

They say tracking Khakh's activities before his death is one of the priorities for the detectives.

Police say Khakh was known to police and his murder is believed to be linked to the ongoing gang conflict in the Lower Mainland.
