Police Detain Suspect In Case Of Man Crushed By Arcade Game At Quebec City Bar

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 08 Jan, 2016 12:42 PM
QUEBEC — Police in Quebec City say they briefly detained a man in the death of a 19-year-old who was crushed by a boxing arcade game this week.

The suspect met with investigators and was subsequently released under a promise to appear in court.

Authorities say the man in his early 20s could face a charge of criminal negligence and that the file has been submitted to the Crown.

The victim died after the punching bag video game fell on him at a Quebec City bar earlier this week.

He was found with a head wound and was later declared dead in hospital.

Police are investigating whether the machine was toppled by another client.

They've also asked any witnesses present at the P'tite Grenouille bar to come forward.
