Police Arrest 3 People After Drugs, Weapons, Cash Seized From West Kelowna Home

Darpan News Desk, 31 Jul, 2019 05:13 PM

A nearly month long police investigation into alleged drug trafficking, centred around a West Kelowna property, culminated in the execution of a pair of search warrants Sunday on both a private residence and a motor vehicle.

On July 28, 2019 West Kelowna RCMP executed a search warrant issued for a property located in the 3400-block of Old Okanagan Highway, and a further search warrant obtained for a motor vehicle spotted by investigators leaving that location.

As a result of their search of both the residence and the vehicle, police seized undisclosed quantities of suspected cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, heroin, and various forms of cannabis.

Along with the suspected illicit drugs removed from our streets, states Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, police also seized a sawed off shotgun, a pair of rifles, ammunition, crossbows, batons, bear spray and pellet guns along with over $10,000 cash and suspected stolen property.

A 45-year-old man, 26-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, each of West Kelowna now face potential drug related charges. They are each expected to make their first appearance in court in October 2019.
